DON’T BE DISTRACTED BY ELECTRONIC DEVICES THAT TAKE YOUR EYES OR EARS OFF THE ROAD.
WHEN NEARBY ROADS, NEVER ASSUME THE DRIVER SEES YOU. MAKE EYE CONTACT WITH DRIVERS AS THEY APPROACH TO MAKE SURE YOU ARE SEEN.
STAY HYDRATED.
MONDAY RUNS (PCM @ NIKE)
WHILE RUNNING ON THE BELTLINE, TRY TO RUN NO MORE THAN TWO PEOPLE ACROSS AND STAY TO THE RIGHT SIDE UNLESS YOU’RE PASSING SOMEONE.
BE MINDFUL OF TRAFFIC SIGNALS AND WHEN RUNNING IN A GROUP IF YOU’RE IN FRONT, BE MINDFUL OF THE PEOPLE WHO ARE FOLLOWING YOU. MAKE SURE THEY AREN’T FOLLOWING YOU INTO ONCOMING TRAFFIC.
WHEN YOU’RE DONE RUNNING AND WAITING FOR OTHER RUNNERS TO FINISH, PLEASE DON’T CROWD THE BELTLINE OR SIDEWALK LEADING UP TO PONCE CITY MARKET. GATHER OFF TO THE SIDE OR UNDER THE CANOPY.
IF YOU PLAN ON RUNNING WITH YOUR DOG, HAVE THE LEASH SHORT ENOUGH SO THAT YOUR DOG DOESN’T IMPEDE OR TRIP OTHER RUNNERS.
THURSDAY WORKOUTS (TRACK NIGHT) - CURRENTLY ON PAUSE
THERE WILL BE A LOT OF KIDS ON THE TRACK. BE MINDFUL OF THEM AS THEY RUN IN FRONT OF YOU, BESIDE YOU, OR NEXT TO YOU.
IF YOU’RE RUNNING WITH OTHERS, PLEASE TRY NOT TO RUN MORE THAN TWO PEOPLE ACROSS. IT WILL BE DIFFICULT FOR PEOPLE TO PASS YOU IF YOU DO. ALSO, IF YOU HEAR SOMEONE YELL “LANE 1!” THAT MEANS SOMEONE IS COMING UP BEHIND YOU. PLEASE MOVE OVER TO LANE 2 AND LET THEM PASS.
IF YOU’RE WEARING HEADPHONES, HAVE THE VOLUME LOW ENOUGH THAT YOU CAN HEAR OTHERS AROUND YOU.
SATURDAY RUNS (10TH & MONROE)
WHILE RUNNING ON THE BELTLINE, TRY TO RUN NO MORE THAN TWO PEOPLE ACROSS AND STAY TO THE RIGHT SIDE UNLESS YOU’RE PASSING SOMEONE.

IF SOMEONE SAYS “BIKE/SCOOTER/RUNNER UP” THIS MEANS THAT THING IS COMING TOWARDS THE GROUP AND BE MINDFUL. IF SOMEONE SAYS “BIKE/SCOOTER/RUNNER BACK” THIS MEANS THAT THING IS COMING TOWARDS THE GROUP FROM THE REAR AND BE MINDFUL. THE SAME CONCEPT APPLIES WHEN SOMEONE SAYS “POLE UP” “HOLE IN THE GROUND”, PLEASE LET OTHER RUNNERS BEHIND YOU KNOW SO THEY DON’T TRIP OR RUN INTO ANYTHING.
